Don't come for me, but I've never read Jane Eyre. I almost wonder if I would have liked this more if I had? The tone was...weird. Some parts felt like I was reading a contemporary romance, but Eddie made me uncomfy from the get-go. I don't know, it ticked most of my thriller boxes, but it wasn't my favorite.
