sapphicpenguin 's review for:
Orlando
by Virginia Woolf
Very funny, very strange. I only properly enjoyed it after understanding more of the background and who and what it's satirizing, so at least read through the Wikipedia page. You kind of have to suspend your logic/questions and just let it happen. It took me a little to get the rhythm, but when I let myself have fun with it, it was lovely.
Occasional period-typical racism from narrator and MC. N-word used a couple times.
