Threads That Bind
by Kika Hatzopoulou
I highly recommend this book to any readers that are fans of Greek mythology and fast-paced murder mysteries. This story was so good! The plot twists had me on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t wait to read more every time I had to put the book down. The characters feel so real. Io is a girl who loves easily. She is such a breath of fresh air from the usual cold and standoffish YA heroines.
My one complaint is that this book info dumps constantly and expects you to memorize things. Some sort of glossary listing out the types of other-born and their powers would benefit this book greatly. I can’t remember what half of the characters’ powers were. But I still really enjoyed the story.
