Where the Drowned Girls Go by Seanan McGuire
4.0

I'm still pretty unsure about my rating.. McGuire has a way of writing storys you wish would go deeper and deeper and into detail about everything which can be frustrating at times but also is a way of preserving the magic that can not always be simply explained or described with words.

A lot of the time nothing really happens.. and everything happens at the same time.

I really enjoyed that we got to learn a bit more about the concept of the different worlds and (potentially) a build up to a bigger conflict tying all the individual storylines together.

But the introduction of so many new characters in such a short time confused me and I think I would have enjoyed it more if we got fewer but more fleshed out characters and therefore more meaningful dialogue between them.

Also I missed the escape into another world feeling that the other books all so perfectly encapsulated.

Overall this book is a solid piece of the series and I can't wait for the next one.

**this is a personal message for Seanan McGuire: Pleeeeease write the book about kade, I know it's happening but please let it be longer than the others!**
