ARC received for an honest review

We are back in Melissa Foster-land with the first book in the Dark Knights of Bayside series. All Ms Foster's series interweave, so you will know some of these characters already.

Justin Wicked has been after Chloe Mallery for a long, long time. However she had friend-zoned him for such a long time, it was hard for her to relinquish that relationship for a new one. She has a preconcieved notion of what her ideal man should be, since she has never had that kind of man in her life. I hated Chloe's mother on her behalf for the childhood.

Family is not blood, but the people you surround yourself with, and the Wickeds are the kind of family we all need in our lives.

As always, Ms Foster has given us wonderfully developed characters. I was drawn into Justin and Chloe's story and wanted, no needed them to find their way to more

However, I did find that to me, this story did drag at times. The first half of the book was great, however the second half was a lot of nothing really happening but the happiness of them - I get this is a great thing, it just was drawn out a little too long for me, so it took me a few day to finish reading this story, when I usually don't want to put a Melissa Foster book down.

I do need to print out a family tree for MF books, as they all interweave and it doesn't take much t confuzzle me!

As always, at the end of reading I was eager for the next MF story. Until next time, Miss Foster.
