“After I worked on Black Panther, people began to ask me how it felt to design superheroes. The truth is, over my whole career, I have been designing costumes for superheroes: Malcolm X, Dr. King, Betty Shabazz, Coretta Scott King, Cinqué, the White House Butler, Thurgood Marshall, and Amelia Boynton.
