It only took me 2 years but I finally finished this. Incredibly enlightening foundational decolonial(?) text on the logics, consequences, and inescapability of Orientalism. At times, he seems to go too far into the weeds of this historical author or that one, only to follow it up with the most cutting paragraph revealing the necessity of exposing a particular logic. 

Its very dense, but if you read only part of it, absolutely read the final act on Orientalism Now. Written in 1977 but with the presience to see how little would change 50 years later, it's chilling to see his Palestinian analysis echoed so often today, nearly unchanged.
