I have strange mixed feelings about this book. I loved it but I also had issues with part of the story. There are two books in this one book. The two main characters have a two brief exchanges and then go off to their separate ways. The resolution felt tacked on but it was written so well that it didn't feel tacky. This is a different type of mystery in that we are looking at the character development after a crime has been committed and what remains of our hearts in the shadow of tragedy. I wasn't as able to connect with Juli and felt her story dragged on until the resolution. Wyatt's story grabbed my attention more and I finished the story with a longing for more of his character in future books.

This mini-review feels like a stream of consciousness presentation so I should conclude with that I do recommend this book highly but I won't be surprised if you come up to me and discuss how frustrated you are with parts of the story.
