This book had it's problems I will say. It was a super slow start and the shifting view points made it hard to keep track of things because the pacing shifted between the view points. There was so much extra fluff and detail that was unneeded and the character had nicknames that they kept switching between using and not using.
There was also like a slight paranormal element that was there but then it wasn't. The story only picked up pace in the last 75% of the book when one of the characters just becomes unhinged, then it just goes super fast and kind of saved it from a lower rating.
It's essentially a slow burn horror which is not for me.
