The Perfect Child by Lucinda Berry
3.0

I went into 'The Perfect Child' by Lucinda Berry with high expectations, but unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to my hopes. The story has an intriguing premise, exploring the complexities of family dynamics and the consequences of our choices.

However, I found the characters to be somewhat one-dimensional and lacking in depth. The writing was decent, but the pacing felt slow and plodding at times.

The themes of trauma, grief, and redemption were interesting, but not fully developed. I felt like the book was trying to tackle too many issues without fully exploring any of them.

Overall, it was an okay read, but not particularly memorable or impactful. If you're a fan of domestic drama and family sagas, you might enjoy this book. However, if you're looking for a more complex and thought-provoking read, you might want to look elsewhere.
