This is a haunting story that needs to be heard. The horrors that befall these boys (especially the real ones this story is based upon) are inexplicable and unconscionable. Sadly, I just didn’t enjoy this book as much as I’d hoped. It lacked depth, and I wasn’t able to connect with the characters or the storyline to the degree it truly deserved.
