As an avid manga fan I have somehow not read Astro Boy until now and all I can say is, wow, not what I was expecting. Unexpectedly dark in many ways, like that last story was lowkey just horrifying and I genuinely am not sure if Tezuka intended that when writing.

All to say, Astro Boy holds up over time in my opinion, it's not great for a binge read but it's really a testament to Tezuka's skill that these are so enjoyable even now when manga as an artform has changed so drastically! Also I just love President Rag and #44 lol
