The Binding Room, the second book in the Inspector Anjelica Henley series, reminds me why I enjoy police procedurals. Any future Henley books will be autoreads.
What I particularly enjoyed about The Binding Room:
This is more than just a detective story. It deals with crime obviously, but also navigates personal relationships, friendships, trauma, racism, and more.
The characters are human. They have flaws, make mistakes, have to make difficult choices, and more.
