Witty, sharp and funnier than it ought to be, it doesn't take more than a page to warm to Adam Kay and his writing. One of the most gripping books I've ever read, I struggled to put it down.

A shocking insight into the NHS we think we know and we claim we love, leaving you with a sense of mourning and a desperation to play your part and save the institution. If everyone should work in hospitality to understand the stress of the waiter they so easily criticise; everyone should read this book to understand just how much pressure these doctors are under and just how much we take them for granted.
