The Sun Is Also a Star
by Nicola Yoon
read for Popsugar 2017 advanced challenge: a book about an immigrant or refugee
WOW. I loved reading this. Nicola Yoon's writing was absolutely gorgeous and I loved how she flitted around to different perspectives. I also burst into tears at the very end and needed to calm myself down when I finished. This book hit a really perfect chord with me. I remember The Statistical Probability of Love At First Sight being a somewhat mediocre book for me (in fact when I looked up my rating, it seemed the only part I really enjoyed was the heroine's angst about her parent's divorce, GO FIGURE), and I think The Sun Is Also a Star did a much better job with this concept.
Also, it's very cute when a book title shows up within a book in an unexpected way, and this was no exception.
