This is a combination of a memoir and a history text, filled with humor and factoids. I'm an enormous John Green fan so I loved that he narrated the audiobook. It works so well as his writing is so uniquely his, so reading it in his voice matched the tone of the text. Here we learn about the smallpox vaccine, velociraptors, and wintry mix all through contexts related to Green's personal life and the anthropocene as a whole. These shifts aren't jarring at all, more feeling like a friend telling you a heartfelt story with a few tangents. If you want to truly learn about obscure topics and come out of it with some fun factoids, this is a great choice for you.
