The Enchanted April by Elizabeth von Arnim
3.5
hopeful inspiring lighthearted medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Character
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

I liked the idea but I felt the character development happened too late in the novel. It also presented the slightly antiquated view that women need men to be happy. Although, having said that, I did appreciate the overall message that happiness and love are the most important things in life. The prose also wasn't anything special but it was perfectly fine.
Lady Caroline should've been a lesbian.
