Stranger in a Strange Land
by Robert A. Heinlein
How can an author be more capable of imagining Martians than actual human women? This book was the most sexist thing I’ve ever read. With lots of racism, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, and homophobia thrown in for good measure. The fact that this is considered a classic of the science fiction genre is insulting, disappointing, and yet not surprising. The only reason I finished this was so that I could be wholly knowledgeable in my hatred of it.
