This story is unapologetically Scottish in regards to word choice. Being a relatively short novel, it should have only taken a few days to read, but the Scottish colloquialisms made it difficult for me to process what was occurring. I never really got into the story, as I found both of our main characters Manuel and Watts uninteresting and unlikeable and do not recommend this reading this one. The story is not worth the effort needed to understand what the heck is going on.
