The Girl on the Train
by Paula Hawkins
This book was a little slow for me. I found it difficult to get into, and for most of the book I was not a fan of any of the three story tellers. It made it hard for me to get invested in the story and it wasn't until the end of the book that I found any redeeming qualities in any of the three women. I understand from a writing perspective why it was necessary for us to not know everything we needed to know until the end, it was just that for me, personally, it made it difficult to "root" for any of the characters.
The thing that kept me going, of course, was needing to know what happened to Megan. I was somewhat pleased with how everything worked out in the end, but it just wasn't the book or genre for me. I think others who enjoy mysteries and thrillers would probably enjoy it more than I did.
