This is the second book in a trilogy and while I’m sure it would be ok to read as a standalone you would be missing out because the first book is great! Book one followed one of the Carson siblings, Olivia and this one is her sister Jenna’s story. I have been so curious about her perspective and you get some answers to burning questions here. This is one complex and messed up family and there are a ton of secrets and betrayals to unravel. Much like the previous book you obviously have some suspense but you also get some romance and an emotionally charged plot as it all deals with family drama. This was a great escapist read and I cannot even wait to see how it all concludes in book 3!!
