This is very much an interesting book. I read it once when it first came out and this was my second time reading it. I found it to be very enjoyable, the characters very realistic and potentially likable, but there is no perfect book. But even with everything that went through my head and everything that was going on with my life, I did enjoy reading it--when I reached for it. There is a reason why I have not read it for several years and as I found myself doing other things instead of reaching for it, almost having to force myself to reach for it, I remembered why it was.

Even so, it is not a book that I am even considering getting rid of, because there are others connected to this book that I enjoy and I am well aware of the fact that this is a book that is necessary so one might fully understand what all is going on in the books that follow this one.
