Gah this is a weak one. Bringing back Kennedy in the boringest way possible? Blech. The original characters are the best part. I like Eldre Koh, and I certainly hope they expand on his backstory which has the potential to be interesting. And Dowling is great but underutilized in this volume. Also TAKE THE DAMN CHECK, BUFFY. I don’t understand the Billy story. He just decides to be a Slayer so he is? Also seems like a severely missed opportunity to put a trans or non-binary spin on the gendered nature of the Slayer mythos.
