Turn Coat
by Jim Butcher
Whoa, things in this series just keep ramping up. The stuff that happened in this book was not what I was expecting in the least, and some of the outcomes left my heart aching in ways I didn't think it would. Just when you think things are going to turn out the way you expect, the way you hope, Butcher expertly throws a twist that leaves you reeling. By the end, the dots being connected in your brain from previous books makes you realize that things are about to get reaaaal ugly, and. . . well, I know in my case I can't wait to pick up the next book and see what happens with my favorite wizard.
