i am so unsure about this series.
i like the writing well enough, it’s easy to read and compelling enough to make me want to finish the book fast.

but neither the plot nor the characters actually grab my attention enough that i really feel the need to read the series?
but at the same time i want to know what will happen next?

it’s very confusing.

this novella/short story was good.
i liked the different point of view and seeing what happens after juliette left from the other side and i do like that we get a bit more of an inside few of what drives a military personal and how it’s often not how it seems at first glance.
that a lot of people might not really want it chosen that life but rather got either dragged or born into it without much choice and now just have to figure their way through just as everyone else.


overall a nice easy and quick read and it didn’t feel unnecessary to the overall series as a lot of other of those squeezed in stories in series feel.
