I was not expecting to love this book as much as I did. I had some reservations with it being mafia and a lot of times everything else gets lost in the violence of the mafia but this was so pleasantly evenly balanced with the mafia aspect and everything else.

Sparrow is on a revenge war path after his brother was brutally taken away from him. He ends up b breaking the nose of Xaviaro the first time they meet and as you can guess it the rest was history. Xaviaro became completely obsessed with him and their dynamic was absolutely HOT 😮‍💨 I was honestly expecting it to be the opposite but I loved seeing this bid bad mafia enforcer submit to Sparrow. They both opened up and were completely vulnerable with each other which was a nice aspect to their dynamic as well. 

I really enjoyed the side characters and can't wait to see what else this series has to offer.
