My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite
4.0
dark funny fast-paced
Strong character development: Complicated
Loveable characters: No
Diverse cast of characters: Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

What a fun, fast, quirky read.

The ending was a little disappointing/anti-climatic, but this book made me chuckle out loud quite a few times, and coming from a Nigerian family, I really enjoyed all of the references.

One of my favourite chuckle-inducing passages:

"You're not the only one suffering, you know. You act like you are carrying this big thing all by yourself, but I worry too."

"Do you? 'Cause the other day, you were singing 'I Believe I can Fly.'"

Ayoola shrugs. "It's a good song."
