In the Days of the Comet
by H.G. Wells
I bought this book after finding a 1927 print in an antique warehouse. I am a lover of H.G Wells and thought I'd give this book a go before starting University.
I'm sorely disappointed, after the drama of books like The War of the Worlds, In the Days of the Comet is the completed opposite! The story dragged on with forgetful characters and sometimes unnecessary ramblings. However there seems to be a hint of polyamory on the second to last page which was an interesting twist considering this book was first published in 1906.
If you're looking for a book to send you to sleep then you've come to the right place. Sadly this is a book that sorely underwhelming.
