The Darkest Part of the Forest
by Holly Black
First off: this is the best Holly Black book I've read.
I was so happy to be back with some Holly Black faeries, but I enjoyed how this was different from Tithe and the other Modern Faerie Tales. You see a society that faeries have integrated themselves into.
I found the characters much better and much more real compared to her other books.
I loved the romance and the very experienced yet nervous female protagonist. I also loved having some homosexuality themes thrown in there. Holly Black did an amazing job writing it.
This year I will hopefully read more Holly Black because I just love her stuff. There's something about the writing style that I just find addicting.
All in all, definitely exceeded expectations.
