Okay...this just became my favorite graphic novel thus far. Nimona is an AWESOME and hilarious character and I loved the brooding yet patient personality of Blackheart. The juxtaposition of the two of them made for a bit of an Odd Couple that I found raucously hilarious.

The art style is cute, but sleek and perfectly colored. There were perhaps a few extraneous fight scene panels, but I was cool with it.

I really appreciated the play with character types. Who is the good guy? Who is the bad guy? Moral gray puked all over this narrative and I'm totally here for it. Magnificent. I was very sad to find that this is not a series. The agony! But then I discovered that Stevenson has created Lumberjanes. I guess I know what graphic novel series I'm picking up next...
