This book HAD me, until the dubious trans/not trans issues in the last few chapters...whatever that was. I think I understand what Oyeyemi was *trying* to do, but it read as problematic to me, and made me deeply uncomfortable (not in a good, challenging-perceptions kind of way). Now I have no idea how to rate this book.
