this one meandered more than the first one and I felt like it took SO long to get to the conclusion. I also felt like Cromwell's affection for Thomas Wyatt came out of nowhere at the end, like he spoke as if this was a known, familiar character, even saying he was always at the house and yet I could barely find any mention of him when I looked back through it.
I did appreciate the adjustment of identifying who was speaking, but I still don't really understand why she didn't just write it in first person.
hopefully just a case of middle book in a trilogy being weaker than the first or final books.
