Audiobook version. 3.5 stars. Definitely an upper middle grade book (mature 5th and up). These 13 year old characters are very aware and eloquent speakers when standing up to adults who are not supportive, and lots of hurdles get solved quickly. Overall, this is a solid realistic fiction book with a lot of great moments and experiences for a variety of viewpoints.
