Two words: Holy Sh*T!

I am antsy for book two. I mean, this is a plot where I kinda predicted the who's who right within 50% of reading it but the shock value nonetheless was there and it was chilling and freaking awesome at the same time!!!

ꜰᴏʀ ɴᴇᴀʀʟʏ 400 ʏᴇᴀʀꜱ, ᴛʜᴇ ᴠᴇɪʟ ʜᴀꜱ ᴘʀᴏᴛᴇᴄᴛᴇᴅ ᴜꜱ ꜰʀᴏᴍ ᴛʜᴇ ꜰᴀᴇ ᴏꜰ ᴀʟꜰʜᴇɪᴍʀ. ɪɴ ᴛʜᴇɪʀ ᴀʙꜱᴇɴᴄᴇ, ᴏᴜʀ ʟɪᴠᴇꜱ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ꜱʜɪꜰᴛᴇᴅ ꜰʀᴏᴍ ᴅᴇᴄᴀᴅᴇɴᴄᴇ ᴀɴᴅ ꜱɪɴ ᴛᴏ ꜱᴜʀᴠɪᴠᴀʟ ᴀɴᴅ ᴠɪʀᴛᴜᴇ ᴜɴᴅᴇʀ ᴛʜᴇ ɢᴜɪᴅᴀɴᴄᴇ ᴏꜰ ᴛʜᴇ ɴᴇᴡ ɢᴏᴅꜱ. ɪ’ᴠᴇ ꜱᴘᴇɴᴛ ᴍʏ ᴇɴᴛɪʀᴇ ʟɪꜰᴇ ᴛᴇɴᴅɪɴɢ ᴛᴏ ᴛʜᴇ ɢᴀʀᴅᴇɴꜱ ɴᴇxᴛ ᴛᴏ ᴛʜᴇ ʙᴏᴜɴᴅᴀʀʏ ʙᴇᴛᴡᴇᴇɴ ᴏᴜʀ ᴡᴏʀʟᴅꜱ, ᴅʀᴀᴡɴ ᴛᴏ ᴛʜᴇ ꜱʜɪᴍᴍᴇʀɪɴɢ ᴍᴀɢɪᴄ ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴀ ᴍᴏᴛʜ ᴛᴏ ᴛʜᴇ ꜰʟᴀᴍᴇ.

1. So right onto the mythopoeia of the plot, i found it cohesive and intriguing. The foundation looked and sounded solid but I needed more explanation on the origin. Something that I feel will be explored on the second book.

ᴀʟʟ ᴏꜰ ᴛʜᴀᴛ ᴄʜᴀɴɢᴇꜱ ᴛʜᴇ ᴅᴀʏ ᴛʜᴇ ᴠᴇɪʟ ꜱʜᴀᴛᴛᴇʀꜱ, ᴜɴʟᴇᴀꜱʜɪɴɢ ᴛʜᴇ ꜰᴀᴇ ᴜᴘᴏɴ ᴏᴜʀ ᴡᴏʀʟᴅ ᴏɴᴄᴇ ᴀɢᴀɪɴ. ᴛʜᴇʀᴇ’ꜱ ɴᴏ ᴄʜᴏɪᴄᴇ ʙᴜᴛ ᴛᴏ ꜰʟᴇᴇ ᴇᴠᴇʀʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ɪ’ᴠᴇ ᴇᴠᴇʀ ᴋɴᴏᴡɴ, ɴᴏᴛ ɪꜰ ɪ ᴡᴀɴᴛ ᴛᴏ ʟɪᴠᴇ ᴛᴏ ꜱᴇᴇ ᴍʏ ᴛᴡᴇɴᴛʏ-ꜰɪʀꜱᴛ ʙɪʀᴛʜᴅᴀʏ ᴀꜱ ᴀ ꜰʀᴇᴇ ᴡᴏᴍᴀɴ.

2. The concept of being a strong independent woman was a common theme across the book. While I liked how the FMC embodied the expectations, there were "gurl nah 🤦‍♀️" moments that I could do without.

ʙᴜᴛ ʙᴇꜰᴏʀᴇ ᴛʜᴇʏ ᴄᴀᴘᴛᴜʀᴇ ᴍᴇ, ᴄᴀᴇʟᴜᴍ ꜱᴀᴠᴇꜱ ᴍᴇ ꜰʀᴏᴍ ᴛʜᴇ ᴡɪʟᴅ ʜᴜɴᴛ. ꜰᴀᴇ-ᴍᴀʀᴋᴇᴅ ᴀɴᴅ ᴏɴ ᴛʜᴇ ʀᴜɴ, ʜᴇ ɪꜱ ᴀʙʟᴇ ᴛᴏ ꜰɪɢʜᴛ ʙᴀᴄᴋ ɪɴ ᴡᴀʏꜱ ɪ ᴏɴʟʏ ᴅʀᴇᴀᴍ ᴏꜰ. ꜰʀᴏᴍ ᴛᴇɴᴛᴀᴛɪᴠᴇ ᴀʟʟɪᴀɴᴄᴇ ᴛᴏ ᴀʟʟ-ᴄᴏɴꜱᴜᴍɪɴɢ ᴘᴀꜱꜱɪᴏɴ, ᴏᴜʀ ʙᴏɴᴅ ꜱᴛʀᴇɴɢᴛʜᴇɴꜱ ᴀꜱ ᴛʜᴇ ꜰᴀᴇ ᴄʟᴏꜱᴇ ɪɴ ᴀɴᴅ ᴇᴠɪʟ ʟᴜʀᴋꜱ ᴇᴠᴇʀ ɴᴇᴀʀᴇʀ. ᴡɪᴛʜ ᴍʏ ʟɪꜰᴇ ᴏɴ ᴛʜᴇ ʟɪɴᴇ, ʜᴇ ɪꜱ ᴇᴠᴇʀʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ɪ ꜱʜᴏᴜʟᴅɴ’ᴛ ᴅᴀʀᴇ ᴛᴏ ᴡᴀɴᴛ ᴀɴᴅ ᴀ ᴅɪꜱᴛʀᴀᴄᴛɪᴏɴ ɪ ᴄᴀɴ’ᴛ ᴀꜰꜰᴏʀᴅ. ɪ ᴄᴀɴ’ᴛ ꜱᴇᴇᴍ ᴛᴏ ꜱᴛᴀʏ ᴀᴡᴀʏ, ɴᴏᴛ ᴇᴠᴇɴ ᴡɪᴛʜ ꜱᴏᴍᴇᴛʜɪɴɢ ɢʀᴇᴀᴛᴇʀ ᴏɴ ᴛʜᴇ ʟɪɴᴇ.

3. As I've said, I already had an inkling about the role of MC to the FMCs life halfway through the book. However, this does not mean that I also did not love Caelum as a character. He was a force to be reckon with and I am so excited to see how his relationship to Estrella will develop in the second book
