You Can Count On Me by Fae Quin
5.0

I never knew I could love someone. With my whole heart, my toes, my nose, and my lashes. Every little, inconsequential part of me loves every little inconsequential part of you.

"Let Your Hearts Be Light" was a 5 star read so I was excited to read its sequel "You Can Count On Me" that came out at the beginning of this month.

This a holiday romance book that focuses on neighbors Trent, small-town flirt, and Miles, shy single dad, who are set up by Trent's young Bubba. The date goes terribly as Trent doesn't try and Miles is so full of anxiety at the situation he fails to speak. Soon after that the two reconcile and Miles and Trent begin a friendship that allows them to figure out that they are what each other needs.

The Good
Fae Quin did it again. I cannot express how much I love how she writes characters. Both Miles and Trent have their own personal pasts and development journeys they must go on throughout this book and I loved reading it. Trent had an inferiority complex and deep insecurities that no one would expect him to have as such an charming and outgoing personality. And Miles appeared big and gruff but was really just shy and anxious. Speaking of anxiety, I liked how anxiety is portrayed here and how Trent supported Miles during high anxiety moments. I liked that love and support helped Miles but didn't magically "fix" him. They also had amazing chemistry, even when Miles couldn't talk much at first. It was magnetic. And it was so romantic! I had so many parts I highlighted that I just absolutely adored!
