You know when you get really pretentious art - like someone draws a circle on a bit of paper and then people say how beautiful, raw etc it is 🙄 well this novel is exactly that but in book form.
There’s a real wave of millennial feminist fiction and sometimes it’s done well (Magma & Luster) and sometimes it’s just a book trying desperately to be provocative and shocking. I’m a Fan, in my opinion, falls into the latter. I found it repetitive, boring and forced.
I really hate leaving shit reviews, I realise authors give their everything to writing and applaud the way the author has put herself out there with a book like this but, it was just not right for me.
