I feel I should not rate this book. If only I had read it as a child and not as an adult. Because I’ve seen the deeply exciting and amazing movies and TV show even, I expected the book to be faster paced… it was not. There was so much random, useless, information and extremely slow progression in the story.

I’m could hardly finish it, but due to my deep respect of Tolkien and the huge worlds and adventures he started, I will leave my review with no rating as I know it is worth far more than I would rate it due to my struggling through the book on my own.
