Power Play by Catherine Coulter
3.0

I said a few years ago that Miss Coulter needed to stop trying to put Sci-fi into her FBI series. Why ruin a good thing. You want to do Sci-Fi spin it off into a new series. Luckily this title was not as bad. A few books ago one of the bad guys named Blessed could instantly hypnotize people and get them to do what ever he wanted. Well, he has broken out of his medical ward and is determined to end Savich and Sherlock.

At the same time this story line is running in the background, you have another. Special Agent Davis is picked by Natalie the Ambassador to the UK to be her personal police guard, until someone goes after her beautiful kick butt daughter. Someone is out kill Natalie and those who love her, or get in the killer's way.

This is like all other Catherine Coulter FBI novels. If you liked the others, then you will like this one too. That being said, she makes a brief mention of agent in training Nicholas from the UK who is the star of her new Brit in the FBI series, and we get to see him graduate the academy at the end of this book. However, these scenes feel like unnecessary drop ins to get the reader ready for the next book in the other series (which is do out in just a month or so I believe).
