The way this book talks about mental illness is so unique and fascinating. There were a ton of quotes that I wrote down and that captured mental illness, especially in youth, in such a devastatingly beautiful way. I feel like this is the perfect book to turn into a movie, also. In the same vein of It’s Kind of a Funny Story and The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I struggled to get into the story for the first 1/3 of the book, which is why it’s not a 5 star, but it was still a spectacular read.
