Pretty Things On Shelves
by Maggie Gates, Landon Gates
“Marriage isn’t about sealing the deal with the person you fall in love with. It’s knowing that you’ll love every version of them that they become.”
I devoured this book and loved every moment of it! It was definitely an emotional read but seeing them grow together after reconnecting after their divorce was so beautiful. They learned from the past and they weren't going to let themselves make the same mistakes they made when they were married and worked on it throughout the whole book. They had both been through so much with the way that they were raised and i loved how parts of their growth they worked on together, but others had to be done with they were apart. this was such a beautifully written second chance romance.
“I never stopped loving you. Even when I was angry. I never stopped. No matter how we got here, I’ve always been madly in love with you. It’ll always be you.”
The way he was constantly standing up for him had me SWOONING. even more so after learning more about their past and how she felt about how things in their previous marriage went. This book had me going through all the emotions in the best way possible.
‘“Don’t be a pretty thing that just changes owners. You’re not a collectible”’
