The pacing was a bit off in this book. The prologue started off with a bang and then it got boring. We spent way more time with the characters than was needed for a slasher book. And the characters weren’t particularly likable, so I think the time we spent with them should’ve been cut way shorter. It took almost 40% of the book for the college kids to actually get to the cabin. All that extra time didn’t really add to the story. But the last third of the book really picked up and gave me what I had been wanting, some great kills!
I’ll check out the sequel and hope that the pacing issues are resolved🤞🏽🤞🏽
P.S. I know it’s a common trope to code your horror villain as disabled, but it’s not necessary😬
