Jim Dale is pure perfection as a narrator but not even he could save this. I tried really hard to get into it and I read some great reviews. I thought it was slow-moving and dull. I had a hard time keeping track of the timeline since chapters jumped from year to year. The only reason I was able to finish this was because of Jim Dale's amazing narration.
