This is such a fun and delightful. It is about Zahrah, a girl who was born with dadalocks. When her best friend Dari goes into a coma after being bitten by a snake, she ventures into the Forbidden Greeny Jungle to retrieve the only thing that can save him, which is an unfertilized egg of an elgort, the most dangerous and deadly beast in the jungle. She encounters all kinds of fantastical creatures and plants during her adventure. The worldbuilding in this book is so imaginative and vibrant. Also the way Zahrah goes from being afraid of her ability to fly to embracing it was absolutely delightful to read about.
