My favorite books are utopian/dystopian based and Scythe fit this category perfectly. What begins as a utopian world finally unfolds into quite dystopia. I felt the characters were highly likable, even the ones that were more villainous in their behavior. I enjoyed the world building but I had to keep reminding myself that this was not some mysterious land on another planet and really just the world we know today.
