Interconnected short story collection about an immigrant family from Jamaica that moves to Miami in the '70s. The stories center around the youngest member of the family (Trelawny) who was born in the US and struggles to find his place. Stories are told from the perspective of other family members, which provides a rounded look at the immigrant experience both within family dynamics and the US at large. I found it to be challenging and emotional read, but in a thought-provoking kind of way. Do recommend.
