Mystery at Magpie Lodge
by Clare Chase
I don't think Clare Chase can write a bad book or a weak mystery: all her stories were excellent and this one is the best so far.
It's a complex story that kept me turning pages and I read in one setting.
A story full of secrets, red herrings and something in the past that could or could not be relevant to the mystery.
We read about Eve slowly discovering secrets and clues. The final twists and the solution are excellent and I didn't see them coming.
Character and plot development are excellent, great storytelling as usual.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine
