A Perfectly Messed-Up Story
by Patrick McDonnell
Age: PReschool-1st grade
Emotions: Controlling, uptight
Another fine addition to the books that interact with their audience, Louie is skipping merrily along when he encounters a glob of jelly in his story (and this glob looks delightfully real). Louie keeps trying to continue his story but keeps getting interrupted by messes, stains, and general mayhem being wreaked on his perfect little world. Louie eventually gives up and tells the story to carry on while he lies down in defeat. But soon he finds out that the world isn't over and everything is fine giving him renewed hope in continuing his story, messes and all.
