Hunted is one of the best retellings of Beauty and the Beast to date as it is a brilliant twist on the story. Yeva is an amazing protagonist, written so well that you feel her emotions within you as you read along her story. I can't ignore the short scrawlings of the beat before each chapter as they were key in making this retelling have such impact. At first I felt like I wanted more from him, but quickly realized that they were of perfect length. While simple and to the point, they spoke of so much with so little. Spooner wove a fantastic tale, and one that I will definitely revisit again. 4.25 out 5.
