It has been a while since Bastard, so it was great to get back in that world.
If you have read Bastard, you will have met Jax and Candice, but that gives us nothing on what their story is.
I am struggling to put into words my thoughts on this book. It is one of those books that is not just a book, it is a journey that we are taken on along with the characters.
From the first word to the last, I couldn't put it down, I just needed to know what happened next.
Jax and his Candice's story is not a simple friends to lovers, second chance romance. It is so much.
A ran through the whole gamut of emotions. I can't tell you how many tears I shed as their story unfolded. I wanted to shake some sense into Jax so he could see what was right under his nose. I wanted to slap some sense into the pair of them for their actions at times.
But most of all I wanted them to see who they really were to each other.
I LOVE that it is set in my home town of Sydney. So many books are set in places around the world that I have never been, so it is nice to be able to picture where the story is happening.
I don't know how else to really put into words how much I love this book, other than to to say read it, you won't be disappointed.
