His Royal Highness

Full review at wildandwonderfulreads.com
The QUEEN of rom coms reigns supreme, delivering a hilarious, swoony, enchanting modern-day “fairytale” with His Royal Highness!
There isn’t much to say about R.S. Grey that I haven’t said before. Her writing and stories have the ability to keep me coming back time after time — I can’t recommend her books enough!
His Royal Highness is a standalone adult romantic comedy told in the dual POVs of our leads, Whitney and Derek. This is a second chance romance with an enemies to lovers overtone and a bit of a slow burn. Typically I am a character-driven reader, and I did adore the characters in this one, but the story itself is what won me over. The setting of an amusement park à la Disney is so fun and inventive (and very well researched, I might add!); I loved it!
The entire cast of characters is phenomenal! Whitney has been holding on to old feelings for Derek for too long, which makes her vulnerable and a bit naive. Her life is literally a fairytale by day as she works as a theme park princess, but outside of work, her life is far less glamorous. She is very much flawed, but I think that’s what makes her fabulous. And Derek is like American royalty as the heir to the company Whitney works for — sexy, knows what he wants, and oozing confidence. I fell hard for him! As always with Rachel’s books, the banter is irresistible, the humor is off the charts, and the tension and chemistry are undeniable.
Overall, I absolutely recommend His Royal Highness! This is such a feel-good read worthy of binging. If you’re looking for a sweet and quirky romance with loads of laughs, plenty of steam, and all the feels, check this one out!
